A Travel Guide To The Malaga Airport

The city center is eight kilometres away from the Malaga Airport. Most travelers to Spain’s Costa del Sol fly through here. For now, there are only two terminals at the airport. But they are building another one in anticipation of the city’s growing popularity with vacationers all over the world. The Malaga Airport is constructed with all the facilities easily available to travelers. It is also nice to note that there is a museum right at the airport and it showcases the rich Spanish Culture.

To get out from the airport to the city center, you have three choices. You can take the train, bus, or taxi. The airport bus could get you to Marbella. From there, you can switch buses in case your actual destination is somewhere farther. From the airport to the bus station in Marbella, travel time is roughly forty-five minutes.

The taxis can be taken practically anywhere. If you decide to hail one to take you to your hotel, it is advised that you brush up on your Spanish. You might need to use the local dialect in order to converse with the cab driver. Taxis can be found at the passenger’s area of the airport. It is quite easy to hail one provided that it is not the peak season.

A train connects Fuengirola and Malaga City with the airport. You can use it if you want to get to your destination faster. But then again, the best way to move around Malaga and nearby cities is with your own set of wheels. Foreigners can rent a car while here. All that are needed are your driver’s license, credit card, and passport.

If you wish to have your own car, be sure to check out the online car rental portals. Most of them have are affiliated with car hire companies in Spain. Drive the car that you want the moment you arrive. The online partners of major car hire companies can help a lot, most especially when it’s the peak season. When you book a car online, it will be reserved for you and is ready for use upon arrival. Drive it from the airport’s parking lot to anywhere. If you hire a car before you get here, you will enjoy both comfort and convenience while in Spain.
