Spain and its political system PLS HELP ME!!!?
So spain is a unitary country however it is very similar to a federal country since its regions have autonomy. Now my question is then … how does spain differ from being a federation? I mean, it being SOO similar to a federation, what makes it unitary?
Does legislation have to be passed from Madrid and are the 3 organs of the state all based in Madrid and the regions are just administrative branches???

Not all. The “Ley orgánica” have to be approved by “Las Cortes Generales” in absolute majority, the “Real Decreto Ley” is like a “Ley ogánica”, but it should be approved by the Goverment because of emergency reasons (is more quickly). Then you have the “Ley autonómica”, it have to be approved by the “cortes autonómicas”, but only in their province. It couldn’t controvert the statal laws.
Then is the “Senado”, usually, they may approved every spanish law, review all them, if they think any law is unconstitutional. They can adjust the laws to be constitutional.
The Spanish regions haven’t got own autonomy, except Navarra. Navarra has their own “fueros”, but all decisions may be constitutional. They have more liberty than the rest, but they can’t have decissions on their own for the country.
It’s a little complicated, but in a few words it is what it is.
