Sunny holidays in Spain

The ideal choice for a nice sunny break is a Spain Holiday for UK and Northern European visitors to get away from the usual damp and cold climate.

Fortunately, taking one of a choice of Spain Holidays at a sunny Spanish resort is now easy and affordable due to the many budget airlines and cheap flights, and with the present exchange rate favourable for most travellers.

There are so many beautiful coastal areas in Spain to enjoy and lots of interesting autonomous areas which have their own individual character and dialects of Spanish. There are a variety of unusual Spanish customs and festivals and the Spanish people are generally welcoming, hospitable and friendly.

One of many popular Spain Holidays is the Costa Blanca on the eastern coast of Spain with its miles of white sandy beaches. The capital is Alicante but most British tourists head for Benidorm with its hundreds of bars and nightclubs. Spain Holidays offer a variety of experiences with the opportunity to explore a range of mediaeval towns and fortified villages while still enjoying the warm, sunny climate.

Another popular Spain Holiday coastal resort is the Costa del Sol, the densely populated Andalusian coast, stretching from Almeria to Tarifa. It is one of a range of favourite all-round Spain Holidays with an average temperature of 64 degrees Fahrenheit or 18 degrees Celsius. Seville is the regional capital of Andalucia and is renowned for its rich Moorish heritage and romantic history.

There is something for everyone on the Costa del Sol with the picturesque towns, zoos, bullfights, water parks, amusement parks and casinos, and especially the Parque de Attractions Tivoli.

Further inland are found the mountain villages of the Sierra Nevada which are about 25 miles or 40 km from the coast.

For those wishing to savour a few more Spanish traditions there is the popular resort town of Torremolinos also on the Costa del Sol. Visitors can also amble along the main streets which are now modernised for pedestrians with ice cream parlours and souvenir shops.
