What GCSE’s do I need to take to become a Magazine Editor?
I am in year 9 and I am going to pick my GCSE’s I really want to be a magazine editor but I can only pick three GCSE’S but I can’t decide between:
Product Design (Resistant Materials, Textiles, Graphic Products and DT Food all in one)
History
Spanish
Art
Music
I really really enjoy music and want to do it for GCSE’s but I am worrried that it won’t give me a good career path.
When choosing your education courses you should keep in mind that these are the tools for your future. In order to be succesfull first you got to be happy with what you do, so choose stuff that is both interesting to you and that will help you do what you want later.
In order to become a magazine editor my guess is that you need something that is related to the field of interest of the magazine, for instance, if it is a magazine about music, you need to know a thing or two about music, the same for computers, fashion and so on!
also you will need some writing skills so you could go to journalism or marketing for being a proper editor.
